Privacy

Plain English, because that's the point of this whole site.

Who we are

The BPI is built and operated by the Institute of Behavioural Performance, Western Australia. You can reach us any time at hello@takethebpi.com.

What we collect

Waitlist: your email address, plus which industry and role you picked. That's it.

Refund requests: your email, purchase date, and your answers about what was missing from your report.

Payments: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe passes us your name, email, and receipt details so we can deliver your report.

Assessments (when live): your answers to the assessment items, and the scores and report generated from them.

What we do with it

We email you the thing you asked for — waitlist updates, your report, your refund confirmation.

We send occasional emails about the BPI. Every one has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribe means unsubscribe.

We use anonymised, aggregated data to improve the instrument itself. Aggregate means patterns across many people — never anything that identifies you.

We may use your email to show you relevant ads on platforms like Meta. If you'd rather we didn't, email us and we'll exclude you.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data. We don't share your individual results with anyone — not your boss, not your business partner, not your franchisor. Your report is yours. That's not a courtesy; it's the design.

Where your data lives

Our forms are processed by Netlify, payments by Stripe, and reports are generated and delivered through our email and PDF tooling. Some of these providers store data on servers outside Australia.

How long we keep it

Waitlist emails: until you unsubscribe. Assessment answers and reports: we keep them so a future re-assessment can show you what's changed. If you'd rather we didn't, email us and we'll delete the lot.

Your rights

Ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it: hello@takethebpi.com. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles. If you're not happy with how we've handled a complaint, you can take it to the OAIC at oaic.gov.au.
